About Inez Weski

Inez Weski worked for forty-five years as an iconic criminal defense lawyer in international criminal cases. She is also well known as an opinion maker in the public debate on the social and philosophical implications of humanity as guardian of the rest of the world. Earlier this year, in her bestseller book The Sound of Silence, she wrote about the lonely fate of the attorney, about courage and compassion, and about wearing the burden of the cloak of confidentiality. She wrote about the rule of law, the dehumanization through AI, the morphing of the individual into a malleable android, and the perfidy of power. In 2014, her book The Hunt for Justice was published. It covers history and the birth of the rule of law, the third dimension where art and humanity roam, but also the fundamental distrust in mankind, with its blind followers as the often anonymous, devouring masses—like locusts on their way to the endgame. Hopefully, with one last righteous person as the last human standing.

Her talk will be about:

Who saves us from mankind, from its devastating road to destruction?

Who saves the alienation of humanity from mankind?

And what about the innocent bystanders, the rest of the universe? Chopped liver?

From the dawn of humankind to the birth of nations.

From all those cold, dead hands, upgraded to more enhanced, brainwashed androids marching to the drum of AI, but always consistent in their zeal, in their quest for more, more, more—faster into the light, into the blinding darkness of the eve of destruction.

Will we all be as one? One heart? One soul? Or one hate? Just pointed in the right direction?

These are the times of the body snatchers. No extraterrestrial being needed. No steel, no complicated heavy machinery or chemicals required.

The slow and sweet acceptance of your master’s voice. Just stay connected, logged in, and you and your origins will drift away into nothingness.

So who will be the last witness?

You?

What will be seen? The eye of what beholder? Whose truth? Whose brain?

Yours?

Who will be the last righteous?

Why you? And when? Now?
